In the morning, we enjoy a 2-hour cruise on board canal boat Thomas Telford, crossing the mighty Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, enjoying the most beautiful canal in Great Britain, with stunning views of the Dee Valley, now a world Heritage Site. We include a Welsh cream tea whilst on board.
In the afternoon, we board the train. Llangollen Railway is a heritage line running from Llangollen, following the River Dee, through the Dee Valley for 10 miles to the town of Corwen. The line is in an Area of outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and remains close to the river for most of its length.
